THE BIG, IMPORTANT, HIGHLY CONTROVERSIAL YET CUTTING-EDGE
UP TO BAT T-SHIRT CONTEST!
So here's the deal: It's just not a webpage these days unless there are CafePress items for sale. In the spirit of Web 2.0 I'm opening this up for suggestions. What do YOU want to see on an "Up to Bat" t-shirt? I don't know, maybe . . .
- Vincent in a white-powdered wig, quoting George Washington in a humorous way
- "Devil Dog for President"
- Vincent fawning over Milla Jovovich in a humorous way
- Your favorite comic strip
- Vincent quipping about some aspect of pop-culture in a humorous way
So here's the cool part. I'll select my favorite, and the winner will receive a matted and framed original strip! Yes, I am that egotistical that I consider one of my own strips to be a worthwhile prize! The more specific your idea, the better! Go for broke!
Submit your suggestions in the comments below! Let the games begin!

Vincent with one wing fully opened, exposing a nipple ornament. Speech balloon: Look! I'm Janet Jackson!
Okay, this is just sad. Pam wins by default.
Okay, okay, okay. T-shirt contest extended to the end of August!
Let 'er rip!
I'd like to hitchhike on Andy's one about rent prices. Remember that lady that was on TV because they were trying to kick her out of her New England home because some company wanted her property to put up more condos and shops? Yeah, something about that.
How about a Doodlebug - Vincent crossover? You can put her on the ground with Devil Dog in the first panel, then on the ceiling with Vincent in the second panel, third panel Vincent can say "Can I help you with something?" and fourth panel Doodlebug can say something witty. See, it's funny because her ears stand up whether she's right side up or upside down.
Something timeless! T-Shirts are forever!
How about a single panel bat + a catch phrase leading into the web address?
I love catch phrases.
Vincent with text beneath him that says something like -
"The REAL Batman"
or "The Authentic Batman"
your URL on the back
Vincent in a mock Van Gogh pose with text underneath reading
"Where art and comedy collide..." then post your URL underneath. You could also have Devil Dog making a sarcastic comment. As Gwynyth would say, 'sarcasting him'.
The dog is trying to use the bat on a baseball field. And the bat says, "I'm not that kind of bat!"
Text on top of Panel:
"Party til the Bats come home!"
Devil Dog with littered cave, possibly lamp on his head and Vincent looking upon scene in shock.
Your URL beneath or on back.
Vincent and Devil Dog (large image)-
caption "Guano Hermanos"
on back:
"Up to Bat"
URL beneath title
Back to the Van Gogh idea. Vincent in the famous Van Gogh self portrait pose. He looks annoyed and says, "I don't care what my agent says - the ear stays!" Devil dog (off to the side) sneers, "Not really willing to suffer for your art, are you?"
On the back - "Up to Bat" with url underneath.
